ROADS UNDER WATER MORE RAIN EXPECTED Press Association. NAPIER, To-day. PHENOMENAL rain during the ! last 24 hours in the back country, with a fall *. nearly three inches on the plains, has resulted in all rivers being taxed to their utmost.

At two low-level spots between Hastings and Napier roads are under water and railway buses as well as all other traffic have ceased running. A report from the back country indicates the possibility of great danger to the low-lying areas from which all stock are being removed. Weather conditions suggest further rain.

If the waters rise, the railways will become blocked, as the line is already under water at the danger points.
