PUPUKE LADIES On Tuesday the members of the Pupuke Ladies’ Golf Club will play the postponed match against the Waitemata Ladies’ Club on the Pupuke links. The following players will represent Pupuke: Mrs. Perman, Mrs. Thompson. Mrs. Blomfield. Miss A. O’Neill. Miss B. O’Neill, Mrs. Davidson, Mrs. Bowden. Miss Gladys Williams, Mrs. Spiller, Mrs. Rutherford. The L.G.U, monthly medal round will be played on Wednesday morning. and in the afternoon there will be an approaching and putting competition for all players. Following is the draw for the C grade ; match to be played on Wednesday on 1 the old course:—Miss Phillips v. Miss Jackson, Mrs. Skeet v. Mrs. Mulligan. Mrs. Tysoe v. Mrs. Seaman, Mrs. Chis- i holm v. Miss Weston, Mrs. Atwood v. Miss Erickson, Miss Parker v. Mrs. Duder, Mrs. Baxter v. Miss Meek. Mrs. | Close v. Miss J. Parker. In the first round of the championship, Mrs. Buddie beat Mrs. Blomfield. ; 2 and 1; Miss McDonald beat Mrs. j Rutherford at the 19th: Miss Gladys Williams beat Mrs. Thompson at the 19th, and Mrs. Perman beat Mrs. Davidson, 5 and 4.
Alterations in Soccer Fixtures Owing to the weather, a cumber of alterations has been made la to-mor-row’s Soccer matches. The Y.M.C.A - Onehungu senior division match, which was to have been played at Bland ford Park, will now be played on No. 1 area at the Domain at three o’clock. Other changes are: Third intermediate division, Onehungra v. Blockhouse Bey, Domain No. 2: Eden Rovers v. Y.M.C.A. postponed. Schoolboy Cricket Tourists. Arrangements are being made in Australia for a team of college cricketers to make a tour of Ceylon next season, leaving at the end of December and returning in February. Travel and cricket will be combined, so as to make the trip of educational value to the boys, as well as the playing of cricket. Games will be played with English public school teachers and also with the Cingalese.
