GAMES IN THE DOUBLES By Cable. — Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Friday. In- the Borotra-Lacoste match (a semi-final game in the men’s singles), there were five deuces in the first game. Borotra was invariably superior in net play, but inferior on the baseline. Nevertheless, he overcame this by more rapid advances to the net. Borotra was in his true form in the second set, giving a brilliant exhibition, leaping to right and to left to bring off surprising interceptions of Lacoste’s drives. Lacoste kept his opponent on the baseline in the third set, the change proving effective. He also secured the next set with the greatest ease, but on resumption a slashing net attack gave Borotra the set and the match. Other results: MIXED DOUBLES Fourth Round Austin and Miss Nuthall defeated Borotra and Madame Bourdes, 6—4, 9—7. Dekerling and--Miss Bennett defeated Tilden and Mrs. Mallory, 3 —6, 6—l, 6 —4. MEN’S DOUBLES Fourth Round Brugnon and Cochet defeated Gregory and Kingsley, B—6, 6 —3, 6—4. —A. and N.Z.
