PLASTER-WORKS GUTTED
FIRE AT MOUNT ALBERT EARLY MORNING OUTBREAK About £266 worth of damage was done this morning when fire comp etely gutted C. V. Leman’s Fibrous Plaster Works, Edendale Road, Mount Albert. The Mt. Albert Brigade received the call at 1.40 o’clock this morning. When it arrived at the scene of the outbreak the flames had a good hold. There was a large quantity of inflammable material about and the flames quickly ate into it. A large quantity of tow was damaged by fire and water. The cause of the' fire is unknown. The last person to be in the shed left there at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The premises and contents were insured with the National Insurance Company.
