To-morrow's League
TEAMS SELECTED OPENING OF COMPETITIONS CITY PLAYS DEVONPORT The official opening of the League season took place last Saturday, when the Auckland members of the All Black team which toured England and the Auckland representatives met. To-morrow, however, all club competitions will begin. The chief interest of the day will be the City v. Devonport fixture which will take place at Carlaw Park. The fast and open football which was invariably produced by the City team last year ,must still be remembered by League enthusiasts. Their two All Black representatives, L. Brown and B. Davidson will again be seen in action. The Devonport thirteen played good football last year, but owing to a heavy casualty list they were unable to work their way to the finals.
