BRITAIN’S LATEST DESTROYER
(British Official Wireless .) Reed. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Tuesday. The first new destroyer to be built since the war, the Ambuscade, vvas commissioned at Chatham to-day for service in the Atlantic Fleet. cade proved capable of maintaining her designed speed 0 f 37 knots. She is to be ready to leave for Harwich on April 26 for a settling down cruise before assembling with the ships of the Atlantic Fleet at the end of spring. She is equipped with four 4.7 guns and two 2-pounder pompoms.
