NEW PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT
“McFadden’s Flats” is the title of the principal film on the new programme at the National and Lyric to-night McFadden was a spendthrift bricklayer who had one ambition, to build a flat he could name after himself. McTavish was a skinflint barber. Each regarded the other as bent for ruin. But McFadden made money and sent his daughter away to boarding school. That seemed to end the romance of the two youngsters until McFadden got into financial difficulties on McFadden’s Flats. And then the hornyhanded Scot comes to the rescue in a way that solves all problems and assures the future of the two youngsters.
“McFadden’s Flats,” presented by Asher, Small and Rogers, is filled with humour. Produced by Edward Small from Rex Taylor’s story as a Richtird Wallace production. And look over this cast: Charlie Murray, Chester Conklin, Lary Kent, Aggie .Herring, Le Witt Jennings, Cissy Fitzgerald, Loro thy Lawn, Freeman Wood, Lot Farley, Leo White and Harvey Clark.
