April 1. 152 s to 1545, (March 25, 150 s to 1525); unsalted, 160 s to 164 s (160 sto 1625). The market finished quietly, with prices steady. The week’s quota was well sold. Australian: Salted, 150 s to 1 ;>4s (150 s to 1525); unsalted, 156 s to 162 s (156 s to 160 s). Argentine: Finest, 152 sto 156 s (14Ss to 1525). Dutch; Unsalted, 176 s to 178 s (176 s to 178 s). Danish: 182 s to 184 s (178 s). Retail prices are unchanged. The Continental markets continue quiet. Cheese: New Zealand, coloured, 77s to 78s (78s to 80s); white, 76s to 78s. The market is steady, hut quiet. Canadian: white and coloured. 92s to 94s (94s to 965). The market is steady. English: finest farmers’, 122 s to 1245. Stocks are small. The retail price has been reduced to lOd. For the period from March IS to 26 (Inclusive) the following quantities of dairy produce under the control of the board have been sold in Great Britain: —Creamery butter, 101,604 boxes, the average price on the London market having been 148 s per cwt.; cheese, 58,296 crates, at an average price of 755: whey butter, from March 15 to 26, 2,378 boxes, at. an average price of 137 s sd. The fixed weekly quota for the week ended Apiil 2 has been sold at an average price of about 150 s for butter and 76s for cheese. Details will be given in the next sales circular.
