Pursuant to Section 40 of “The Rating ing Act, 1925,” 1 hereby give notice that a POLL of the RATEPAYERS (only> of the Borough of Mount Albert, to decide whether the system of RATING on UNIMPROVED VALUES shall be adopted in the said Borough, will be taken on WEDNESDAY, the 27th day of April, 1927, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., concurrently with the Municipal Elections fixed for that date. LEONARD E. RHODES, Mayor. Morningside, April 6th, 1927. PUBLIC NOTICES. T O THE RESIDENTS OF TAKAPUNA. In accordance with the decision o. the Transport Appeal Board I have been compelled to DIVERT MY SERVICE FROM DEVONPORT TO BAYSWATER. I find I am quite unable to run my service from Milford to Bayswater at a lesser rate than 4s 6d for 12 trips, and shorter route at a correspondingly lesser fare. I have been notified that the weekly Ferry Fare per the Takapuna Tramways and Ferry Co., Ltd. from Bayswater to Auckland will be at the rate of 3s per week, thus making the weekly 12-trip fare from Milford to Auckland at the rate of 7s 6d per week in place of my previous fare of 6s 6d via Dex'onport. 1 desire to take this opportunity of thanking my numerous patrons for their loyal support and to express my regret for the increase of the through fare which has been brought about by circumstances beyond my control. A. H. SM T "*- Milford, April sth, 1927.
