A BOSTON TEA PARTY
NOT WANTED AT GREYMOUTH WARNING TO IMPORTERS (From Our Resident Correspondent .) WELLINGTON, To-day. While the Mayor of Greymouth, Mr. W. H. Parfitt, was quoting figures before Mr. Coates to-day, showing how the export figures for timber from the port of Greymouth had decreased, Mr. Coates asked: “Have you got the import figures?” Mr. Parfitt: “Oh, very little timber comes into Greymouth. I would not like to see it.” A Member of the Deputation: There w’ould be war. Mr. H. E. Holland, M.P.: They would probably do to it what the Boston people did to the tea. Mr. Coates (hastily): Oh, we don’t want any more Boston tea party.
