PROPOSED SPORTS CLUB
PRELIMINARY ORGANISATION A meeting was held in the Chamber of Commerce last night to further the formation of an amateur athletic and gymnasium club in Auckland. Mr. Errick Charmers was elected chairman, and Mr. W. S. Lindsay secretary. A statement of accounts was read and approved. The chairman gave a resume of the organising work that had been done in Auckland and the surrounding districts. The meeting expressed its satisfaction with the work done by Mr. Charmers, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded him for his services. It was decided that another meeting should be called ,at an early date.
