VALUELESS CHEQUES
AUCKLAND PUBLICAN DECEIVED Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. Edward William King, a canvasser of Wellington, pleaded guilty before Mr. Page, S.M., to four charges of false pretences in respect of cheques presented to an Auckland publican and dishonoured. Counsel said restitution would be made if accused were granted probation. King was remanded for sentence till to-morrow.
