WOMEN’S HOCKEY
UNIVERSITY CLUB The annual meeting - of the Auckland University College Women’s Hockey Club was held last evening, the club captain. Miss W. E. McNickle, presiding. According to the annual report and balance sheet, rasf season had been a successful one in every way. It was decided that the club would hold night practices at the University grounds on Tuesday evenings. The following officers were elected: President, Professor H. H. Corbin; vice-presidents, Mrs. A. E. Mulgan, Mi's. A. C. Patterson, Mrs. H. H. Corbin, Miss D. Miller and Miss D. Bourne; club captain, Miss L. Cranwell; secretary and treasurer, Miss ID. Neely; executive, Misses M. K. Dunning, M. Mawson and J. Mclntosh; delegates to the Auckland Ladies’ Hockey Association, Misses B. Fotheringhani, Cranwell and Neely; club coach, Mr. D. PI. Steen. LEGACIES TO CHARITY Under the will of the late Mr. Samuel Thomas Cox, of Opunake, legacies of £l5O each are bequeathed to the Mount Albert Methodist Orphanage, Foreign Missions of the New Zealand Methodist Church and the Methodist Home Mission in New Zealand. There are also bequests to other religious and charitable bodies.
