MEETING OF COUNCIL (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHANG ARE I, To-day. The regular meeting of the Whangarei Borough Council was held hist evening when there were present the May&r, Mr. J. E. Holmes, Crs. Timewell, Tibbits, Rust, McKay, Hutchings, Meikle and Brainsby. Following discussion on a letter from Mr. J. North concerning the removal of obstructions from the Rau manga Stream, it was resolved on the motion of Cr Tibbits that the necessary notices be served on owners who have not yet been notified of their obllga--lo(jneo(jne of the unsuccessful applicantsfor the position of meter reader claimed for three and a-half days' work at £l.
