207 MILLIONAIRES largest number yet , able. — Press Association.—Copyright WASHINGTON, Sunday. Vue inc »me tax figures for 1925, ; been published, show that 207 individuals in the United States are in the millionaire (£200.000) income class. This is the largeet number recorded. The 1924 figures showed only 75. In 191$ there were 206, and in 1921 only 21. the lowest number since the tvar. The income taxes collected in the first nine months of the present fiscal year totalled approximately £330,000,000. It is estimated that the total for the year will be £685,200,000. The total income of the 207 millionaires was £84,400.000, and they paid £13,200,000 in income tax. Seven persons had a net income each in excess of £1,000,000. The largest group of taxpayers were those with incomes between £BOO and £I,OOO. Their incomes totalled £365,400,000, on which £1,000.000 was paid in income tax.—A. and N.Z.
