BUT NOT A CRIMINAL YOUNG WOMAN REMANDED Because she had strolled into Milne and Choyce’s and calmly lifted a fur valued at £39 is the reason why Clarice Adelaide Wynne, aged 23, made her appearance in the Police Court yesterday to answer a charge of theft. According to the probation officer at Auckland, the accused was a hard worker and was well spoken of by her employers. She was on probation for a previous charge, but she had made Sood restitution of the money. “She has not got that criminal craze like some have and she is living in New Zealand on her own; her people are in PZngland; it is a case of irresistible impulse,” said counsel in defending her case.
