Tyro Brings 'Plane Down When Pilot Collapses.

Press Association —CoDyrieht. Capetown, Aug. 30. Dr. Dalton, captain of the Benoni Light Plane Club, collapsed and died while fl; ing over the Rand to-day. He had taken up two passengers. Miss Atwill, aged 16 years*,and a Mr. Kruger. .When r ,the : plane, was at an altitude of 3000 feet ; Mr. Kruger saw Dr. Dalton lurch sideways. The machine, out of control, flew wildly in circles. Mr. Kruger, though he had only nine hours' flying experience, managed to push Dr. Dalton's body aside and effected a forced landing. Mr. Kruger was unhurt and the girl escaped with bruises. The plane was slightly damaged.
