MIDHIRST WINS.
BASKETBALL AT TOKO. A school basketball tournament for Mrs E. Jones' cup was played on the Tcke Domain on Saturday, Midhirst winning. Four teams competed and the games wore very even. The resuls were: Midhirst 6 points, Toko 4 points, Stratford 4 points, Mahoe 2 points. The referees were Mrs Whittaker, Misses Were and Gernhoefer and Mr James. •* The .tealtts' and visitors were afterw.ards entertained at afternoon tea. Monica Milne, captain of the Toko team, congratulated the winning team. Mrs Jones, in presenting the cup, congratulated the Midhirst team on winning the competition two years in succession. Mr James> (headmaster, Midhirst), Mr Harper (headmaster, Toko), and Mr Murray (chairman of the Toko school committee) also addressed the children. •
