LEITRIM BOG POTEEN RAID. ' m MRSifcAGUIRE' AND* HER DAUGHTER ' OBSTRUCT SERGEANT BLJGH. , ■ DUBLIN, April 20. TWO men are staled to have been captured and a still, stillhead, worm and a large quantity of poteen seized following an early morning search of a bog at Bohey, in the barnaught district of Co. Leitrim. This said to be the second important capture by Gardai in the area within a fortnight. ‘ At Rosskey Court yesterday, Mrs. B. Maguire, Tooman, Farnaught, was charged with assaulting and' obstructing Sergt. Blight and Gardai in the execution ,of their duty, and with having a quantity of poteen in her possession; Kate Maguire, with assaulting the Gardai, maliciously damaging Sergt. Bligh s overcoat, and harbouring illicit spirits, and John J .Maguire, with harbouring illicit spirits. The cases weer adjourned on the application of Mr. M. J. Maguire, solicitor, Longford, who was engaged for the de fence.
