Against the touring Indian cricket team Somerset in the first innings to-day made 498, Gitnblett 103, Hawkins 79, Burrough 85, Baldock 63 not out. The Indians had scored 24 without loss. The Indians’ match against Oxford was drawn. In the second innings Oxford madg '-.297, Kimpton 77, Mitchell-Innes 68. Banerjes took four wickets for 65 runs. Oxford’s first innings total was 202. India, which made 352 in the first innings, lost five wickets for 103 in the second.
