The rejocing in Italy at the entry ot the Italian forces into Addis Ababa, capital of Abyssinia, had an echo in Christchurch on Saturday, when, to i mark the event ,tho Italian flag was ! hoisted over the ofliccs of Iho conj sular agent for Italy (Mr P. P. J. lAmodeo). It was a day of rejoicing j for the Italian community throughout j the world, and in common with other | places, the flag was flown in Christ- : church. i Domestics’ Union. ; A move is to be made in Welling--1 ton this week to form a trade union • of domestic servants. A meeting with [ this in view has been convened for to morrow evening. Last week a J similar meeting was held "in ChristI church, and Saturday’s papers i reported activity in the same direction in Auckland and Hamilton.
