j Nine Senior Teams Entered (ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING. •i • _ : "■'• j The application of a new club at ■ Auroa was accepted at the annual j meeting of the Taranaki Football Asj sociation at Stratford last night. I Two teams from the new club will i be entered in the competition and the j club colours will be light blue. j The balance-sheet not being ayailI able from the auditor, it was decided j to leave consideration to the incoming j committee, subject to audit. The sec[.retary stated that,the financial posij tion was sound. j It was decided that the Julian Cup i competition be played in two divisions, | the winners of each division playing i off for the cup. After that the Duff j Cup will be played for by the north and the Chinese Cup by the south. I This season, all matches will be j scheduled to commence at 2.30 p.m. i in the southern division, and at 2.45 j p.m. in the north. The captain of j any team on the field will have the j right to claim the match if the op- ! posing team is not on the field within ! a quarter of an hour of the commence- ! ment time.
The Hawera Club was granted leave to play two matches —a senior and a junior—against Wanganui Rangers on Euster Monday. Officers elected were: Patron, Dr. E. A. Walker; president, Mr. T. Smith; vice-presidents, 16 were elected for the year; hon. secretary, Mr. D. Benjamin (pro tern.); executive committee, MesirjyßJ James, A. G. Muggeridge, L. Sturmey, W. Bremner, R. Rae, H. Longstaff, and J. Riley; hon. auditor, Mr R. H. Vincent; delegate to N.Z.F.A., Mr R. L. Page; selectors, Messrs. N. Bremner (North) F. Star« ling (South), and J. Thompson (Central).
