Surprises produced during the day were the defeat of Stratton in tiro first life of the men’s championship by Bryan (Palmerston North). In the second round of tiro men’s championship (first life) F. L. Hartnell (New Plymouth) beat Boss. Mrs. Petrie (Feilding) beat the holder of tiro title, Miss Sheet, in tire second life of the women’s championship. The results are:—
