ON THE RHINE AGAIN
Britain Certain of French Support. GERMANY’S SUSPICIONS OF D!«- < CUSSIONS. Press Association —Copyright. Received 12.5 p.m. To-day. London, Jan. 3. The Guardian’s Berlin correspondent says Germany is suspicious of the Franco-British General Staff discussions regarding mutual support in the event of sanctions causing a conflict. The Rorsen Zeitung, reflecting the views of the Wilhelmstrasse, states that England’s frontiers are again on the Rhine, and adds: “A reduction of war insurance premiums on cargo . to and from the Mediterranean and the Red Sea shows that England is pretty sure of French help, which would never he promised without substantial concessions to French ideas of security.” How Germany is to be brought hack to the League is more obscure than ever.
