Mr. Roosevelt today accepted the resignation of the Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Woodin. and appointed Mr. Morgenthau, junr.. to succeed him. Mr. Morgenthau has been_ acting as secretary since Mr. Woodin was forced by nines last fall to take a complete rest .
