Riddiford, said that the year had resulted in a protit of £297 after allowing £2500 for depreciation. Owners had been hard hit and falling stakes had not been balanced by any real decline in the cost of racing.
Owners had continued nominating and racing horses in a manner that was a tribute to their enthusiasm.
During the year £25,217 were paid to the Government in taxation. Mr. Riddiford was re-elected president, and Mr J. W. Abott vice-pre-sident.
A memorandum was released re the proposed amendments of the Gaming Act as issued to Wellington members of Parliament.
