WEDDING
Askew—Carryer A marriage which was solima'sed at St. Mary's, New Plymouth, uu Tuesday has a wide local, interest. The ceremony united in the bonds of matrimony Muriel Erica, seeonl daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Carryer, New Plymouth, and Stanley, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Askew, Tarafa. Tho officiating clergyman was Archdeacon G. 11. Gavin, and Mr. Renaud {resided at the organ. The bride wore a gown <if ivory chiffon velvet and angel skia lace. Her veil of embroidered silk net was held in place by a head-dress of orange blossom buds and she carried a bouquet of spring flowers, white heather and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by hoi sister. Miss Nad in a Carryer, who woro a dress of flesh pink, silk cvpe and tulle. Her juliet cap was compered of velvet flowers and tulle and the bouquet consisted of flowers shading from palest to deepest pink. Mr. Ernest Askew, brother of the bridegroom, attended as best man. The reception was held at the Hygienic Tea Rooms. Mr. and Mrs. Askew left latter by car on a honeymoon trip.
