MANCHESTER PETITION
Exploitation of Empire Markets Press Association. —Cop/right. Louden, May 10. In connection with Japanese competition in the Australian markets 25,000 persons have signed a Manchester petition pressing Parliament to take prompt effective measures to prevent the exploitation of Empire markets by foreigners, manufacturing on a low standard of living, making it impossible for the British to compete.
