FORMER TESTIMONY REVERSED

Evidence in Supreme Court Case Press Association. —Copyright. Wellington-, May 10. A third member of a party of three men concerned in breaking and entering the Moera post office on April 2 appeared in the Supreme Court to-day when John Joseph McClintock faced charges. Two others who pleaded guilty and are serving their sentences gave evidence, reversing their former testimony. Both now said McClintock took no part in the attempted robbery, he remaining in the car while they broke in and tried to open the safe. McClintock, they said, drove them out but when he. learned their intentions refused to have anything to do with the venture. Mr. Justice Blair remarked that the witnesses were now disclosing that their evidence in the lower court was perjury. It was very serious to swear falsely that a man committed a crime. The case was unfinished when the court adjourned.
