PALMERSTON BURGLARY
YOUNG MAN BEFORE COURT Press Association. —Copyright. Palmerston N., May 10. Arising out of the assault incident yesterday a youth, Frank Francis O'Sullivan, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to stealing £5, the property of William Wiseman senr. Detective Quirk said O'Sullivan went to Wiseman's shop to purchase goods and asked for change of a £5 note. On the shopkeeper getting the necessary amount O'Sullivan threw pepper into his face, grabbed the notes and dashed away. He was later arrested. He had been convicted for theft in 1932. The magistrate remanded O'Sullivan till Friday for the probation officer's report.
