The German Government has instructed its representative in Stockholm to inquire from the Swedish Foreign Office whether the report of a speech made by tho Swedish Minister for Commerce (Mr. Ekman) on May 1 is accurate. According to Press reports, Mr. Ekman strongly attacked the German Government, notably the Chancellor and the Air Minister. Should such attacks have been made, the German Charge d'Affaires is instructed to lodge a protest with the Swedish Government. . The Swedish Foreign Minister has replied that an authentic version of the speech is not yet available.
