The Poor Producers
A correspondent signing himself "Broker" wrote to the Grocer (England) recently mentioning the decreases of his ['[income through the, reduction of the price of butter. O. B, Joyful, of Hanging Ditch, writes the following week in reply: "What about the importers? And what about the producers?" ho asks, and he continues: 'Tresenl prices caa only end in one way for the producers. Iho importers have dearly learned their lesson, and can keep out. The producers, however, cannot keep out, and unless something is done to help the downward rush of prices to their piesent absurd levels, ruination will follow Then will come the seven lean years which will not suit old England There is a lot of talk about quotas and our Government officials are as usual scratching their heads instead of getting on with Hie job.
