British Wireless. Rugby, May 8. A reduction of 78,511 in the number of persons unemployed compared with the March figures is disclosed in a return for the past month. The total unemployed comprised 2,070,714 wholly unemployed, 527,418 temporarily stopped and 99,402 normally in casual employment. The total on April 24 included 2,169,128 men, 68,858 boys, 405,700 women and 53,848 girls.
