.MORE ACUTE THIS YEAR Auckland, Miiy •>. —• The chair-in.-in of Ihi- Anck l:i ikT Kducalion Board reported to-day that unemployment, among teachers was even more acute than in previous years. At the beginning of the second term there would be 503 ex-students of the training college not permanently employed, and of these 217 had temporary employment as relieving teachers. Those who had been temporarily employed for the whole of the current term would be replaced next term by others.
