SHOT IN FOREHEAD
DEATH OF THAMES MAN Press Association. —Copyright. Thames, May 3. —An inquest to-day into the death of William James Marjurey, aged 44, a miner who was found at his residence at Tararu Creek yesterday with a gunshot wound in his forehead. His widow gave evidence that he was suffering from a miner’s complaint. He was very ill lately and yesterday rested after killing a pig. He then walked into the yard, saying “Good-bye, Mum.” She heard a shot and found her husband with a sawn-off shotgun underneath him. He had attempted to commit suicide in February, but the shot missed. The verdict was suicide while in a depressed mental state through ill-health.
