Miss B. Clews was a passenger for Auckland by the morning mail tram. Mrs. M. Bailey left for Dannevirke by the mail train this morning. Mr. E. Norden, manager of the King's Theatre, loft this morning on ;i business trip to Auckland. Mr. Jack Callaghan, who has been spending his Easter vacation with his parents, loft Stratford by the mail train, this morning for Ohakune. Miss Nelle M. Scanlan, the wellknown authoress, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Lyons, during her short stay in Stratford, left by the mail train this morning en route for Rotorua. Expressions of sympathy with Mrs. F Ranford because of the death of her father, and with Mr. G. Gibbons (Ngaoro) because of the death of his wife was expressed at Saturday's meeting of the Stratford Jersey Cattle Club. Mr. R. D McLean, of Christ church, who has been appointed to the position of manager of the Stratford branch of the Union Bank of Australia has arrived. Mr. A. Clark, who has held the position for several years, will leave this week for Marton, wh.ere he has been transferred.
