PLUCKY RESCUE
Three B&ys m Danger* A plucky rescue by three young hoys i probably saved the lives of two others j who got into difficulties through their | punt capsizing in the pool al the Clifton ! Fsclanadc. Sumner, on Tuesday. Three boys, Colin Mortimer, Frod. ! Muihollend and Rex Noonan, were rowing in the pool in a punt. The boys apparently cpdoa.vM.u- to change their seats, and the punt capsized, throwing l.hjrn L o the water. Colin Mortimer, ilv; only one whir could swim, got atfhore. In the meantime the lifeboat siren had been sounded to bring assistance for Noonan and Mulholland, who endeavoured to support themselves by ', clinging to the punt, which rolled over. Cecil I N; -nan secured the lifeh.elt on the pier, j while the others stripped to the waist I and went to the rescue. ' Mouldey very I pkr.-kily got hold of Mulholland and. j managing to get him on to the overi turned boat, pushed it to the short. Rex : Ntcnan was brought ashore by his bro- ! ther Cecil. Both the boys were very exhausted, | and probably owed thai lives to the I pluck of die three rescuers. The boys were taken to some nearly tea rooms, where they were given hot ten.
