Christ church, April 21. —The Christ church Tramway Board allow,.(i a loss of £4901 for the year ended March 31, 1933, in the operation of its trotting bus service from the city to New Brighton, via North Beach. This loss includes heavy traffic fees.of £4G3 lGs 6d, but does not include th new tax of £520 yearly on trolley buses. These facts were presented to-day in an application made by the board to the Metropolitan Licensing Committee for permission to discontinue the service over a portion of the route, over which it was shown that the average number of passengers carried per trip was less than two. The application was approved.
