Miss M. Nelson left by mail train to-day for Greatford.
The Stratford High School Board last night appointed Miss Emily Lamason as second commercial teacher.
Major A. J. Worsnop, N.Z.S.C.. of Wellington, who has been attending the signallers' camp at Toko as staff instructor, left by mail train to-day on his return.
His Worship the Mayor. Mr. Percy Thomson, loft by mail train to-dav for Dunedin, where his uncle, Hon. G. M. Thomson, is seriously ill following an operation.
Mr. E. W. Hancock resiened at today's mooting of the Stratford County Council as a county representative on the East Committee of the Egmont National Park Board. On Cr. Hancock's suggestion Mr. J. J. Belchor was appointed.
Mr. L. B. Davis, superintendent of the Stratford Volunteer Fire Brigade, left by mail train to-day for Wellington," where he will attend the United Fire Brigades' Association annual conference.
