Many Peasants Die

Calcutta April 20.—Fifty peasants have died of hydrophobia after being bitten by rn')id jackals which are infesting villages in the United Provinces. Over 150 have been seriously bitten, and jackals are at present being hunted and exterminated in the jungles.
