Murderer Confesses
Grand Rapids (Michigan), April 7. —Within 12 hours of his arrest for a triple murder, Henry Bedford, the middle-aged principal of a high school, confessed to the crime and was sentenced to imprisonment for life. Redford had lived with a family named Beiigort, and was said to have become too friendly with Mrs. Bengert. After ti violent quarrel in her husband's' absence, however, he choked her to death, and then killed her two children. Bengert returned just afterwards and, giving Bedford a knock-out punch, sent for the police. . The Michigan law does not provide for capital punishment.
