Invercargill, April in.—Negotiations having an important hearing upon a. local secondary industry which has been at a standstill for a considerable, time have just been successfully completed. a Christchurch syndicate comiirising Messrs. L. B. Mi lien and others has purchased the Rosedale woollen mills.

It is stated that the purchasers will take possession on May 1 and that it is their intention to instal up-to-date machinery. It is believed that once the industry is recommenced a considerable number of unemployed with experience in the woollen trade will be absorbed. The mills were closed in 1930 owing to the prevailing economic conditions.
