Whangarei Disqualifications Press Association. —Copyright. ! Auckland. April LS.— Appeals by Won/! Scholium (the racehorse; owner), W. Goscomb (trainer) and G. I Grice (apprentice jockey) against their j disqualification for six months by the : judicial committee of the Whangarei | Racing Club were upheld by the Auck- i land District Racing Committee to-day. The case concerned the 1 mining of j Princess Star in the Portland Hack Han- j dicap at Whangarei on April G, and dis- J qualifications were imposed on the j ground that, there had been a contra- j veution of the rule relating to a horse j being run on its merits. The district committee in allowing the | appeals ordered that the deposits of £5 | each to be returned to the appellants.
