"Jacks the Boy," which opened at the King's last night and will be repeated to-night is one long laugh. Jack get:i on the-track of a '•smash and grab'' crook and chases him into Madame Tussaud's, but his mly capture is a wax figure! His stanlcd father, finding his son is the niefflcnml constable, suspends him froi i duty. Is Jack downhearted? No! He enlist,the aid of the worthy Mrs. Bobday and, discovering that the crook had left the stolen property in Madaiut Tussaud's. and intends returning foi it they hide amongst the wax figures determined to capturo the whole gang. What a time they hare! They enact various brave figures in history before the crooks spot them and iorc< them to pose as the suffocated princes victim of the bad old days! To th< rescue comes Jack's father and is h< proud of his constable son? Believe it or not, he most certainly is. The whole things goes with a hilar ious swing. We are also treated t< some fine daucing by Jack Hulbori, and in one number he is partnered b: charming Winifred Sbotter, speciullj loaned by British and Dominions foi i the occasion. They sing a fascinating duet and show us something new in the way of ballroom dancing in a wnn cellar.
