NORWEGIAN STEAMER WRECKED

NO LIVES LOST Press .Association—Copyright Hong Kong, April 13.—The Norwegian steamer Fjorden, bound for Hongkong, struck a rock and sank near Cheungehau, just outside the harbour. The ship, which had a rice cargo aboard, was lost, but all lives were saved, including those of five European officers and the Chinese crew. Rescue of the men was carried out by Chinese fishing junks and a police launch. Kingsley Alexander Blackwood Howie, for the theft of relief depot funds, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment at Dunedin.
