Kidnapping Plot Suspected Hollywood, already alarmed by i'requeiit hold-ups and threats of kidnapping, has fresh cause for worry, says the New York correspondent of the London Daily Mail. A list of film stars, their children, and business agents has been found by Chief-Detective Joseph Taylor in the home of Luella Pearl Hammer, who is charged with taking part in the kidnapping of Mrs. Mary Skeele, wife of the dean of the College of Music in the University of Southern California. Mrs. Skeele, a 65-year-old grandmother, was released after being kept blindfolded for 24 hours. Chief-Detective Taylor believes that it was intended to kidnap the people ' named in the list. Hammer denies this. She. admits having written the list, but refuses to explain its purpose. It is headed by Jackie Coogan's name ,address and telephone number. Other names in it are Mary Pickford, I Lottie Pickford, Mary Philbin, Constance Talmadge, Harold Lloyd, Adolph Menjou, Buster Keaton and C. E. Erickson, Miss Mary Pickford's manager.
