More Rapid Development Wanted APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE Press Association— Copyright. Dunedin, April 12.—An appeal for assistance to secure more rapid development on the gold fields of Central Otago was made at a public meeting in Dunedin. It was decided to request trie Prime Minister and his colleagues to take stops to enable prospecting and gold mining to be carried on under normal conditions and without the limitations and restrictions imposed by the prohibitive section 35 of the Finance Act.
Mr. W. A. Bodkin. M.P.. said that there was an immense field waiting for development, there being ten timer, more gold in Central Otago than had ever been taken out.
