Even a comedy has to be authentic on the screen these days. This is why William Haines, star, Sam Wood, director, and Ernest Torrence and others took a practical course in banking before they started work on “New Adventures of (let Rich Quick Wallingford,” Haines’ latest M-G-M talkie comedy at the King’s Theatre. Haines had to dally with certified cheques, Torrence had to impersonate a bank president and banking deals With a comedy twist abounded in the picture. In order that these be convincing, and Unis make the story bang together, every detail was supervised by a practical banker. jimmy “Schnozzlo’’ Durante aids in ihe comedy. Leila Hyams is the heroine and the rest of the east includes Clara Blandick, Hale Hamilton, Guy Kibbeo. Walter Walker, Robert McWado and others of note.
