Response to Governor’s Appeal
Pre°s Association —Copyright Auckland, April 11. —It is learned that the initial to the Governor - General's winter relief appeal has been most promising. In addition to promises of money, many undertakings have been received to supply livestock and other foodstuffs. The mailbag at Government House is exceptionally heavy and to date about 500 letters and telegrams have been received. An Australian visitor has given £SO in recognition of kindness received from New Zealand people during a holiday.
