So long as pork production brings in a quicker and better return, it is hardly likely that bacon production in this country will reach the level it ought, but what reason is there why bacon should not bring in an even better return than perk production? Practically the whole population can be counted upon as consumers of bacon, whereas only a limited number are consumjers of pork.
